Gorilla Conservation in Uganda & Rwanda

We offer gorilla trekking experiences in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Volcanoes National Park. But we do more than take guests into the forest.

Our contribution includes:

• Paying park fees that directly support gorilla monitoring and habitat protection

• Supporting ranger salaries and conservation training

• Educating guests on responsible behavior during treks to reduce stress on gorilla families

Through every trek, we help fund the protection of one of the world’s most endangered species.

 Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation

In areas like Amboseli (Kenya) and Tarangire (Tanzania), human wildlife conflict is a growing issue. We work with local NGOs to:

• Support beehive fence projects that keep elephants out of farmland

• Fund workshops that teach farmers how to coexist with wildlife

• Promote land-use practices that reduce conflict and increase harmony

2. Tree Planting & Reforestation

Deforestation threatens biodiversity and local livelihoods. Traford Safaris has partnered with reforestation groups in Uganda and Kenya to:

• Plant native trees in degraded forest areas

So far, we’ve helped plant over 123 indigenous trees in community forests and buffer zones.
